We have a very active and varied calendar of events here on the Poacher Line, they include our famous Music Trains – combining real ale and music. Music at the Mill – a fantastic night of music at the world's only working 8 sailed Windmill with onsite brewery, Bucket & Spade trains, Story telling trains and a Winter Express.

New to our calendar is the Radcliffe on Trent summer carnival and who can forget Community Rail in the City; an annual event which showcases all the great work that other Community Rail partnerships do around the country. Check out our calendar to get involved in our next event – see you there!

Join us on a delightful linear 6.5 mile walk following public footpaths and quiet lanes from Ancaster to Sleaford via Rauceby.


Catch the train from Sleaford to Ancaster. Meet at Sleaford station by 11.00am.


The train departs Skegness 10.15, Wainfleet 10.23, Boston 10.48, Heckington 11.02, SLEAFORD 11.12


All are welcome - the walk is free but train fares apply.

(single fare example : Sleaford to Ancaster = £3.30). Please purchase your ticket before boarding the train.

A welcome return to Boston is the fantastic May Fair which will take over the town for the week commencing Saturday 28th August. An hourly train service will take you for an exciting day out which is just a short stroll from the station.
