“The Wall” was an amazing project we completed with St. Georges Academy, Sleaford and the Skegness Grammar school. Platform 7 at Skegness station was a 100 metre blank canvas which was in need of some inspirational artwork. Working with graffiti artist James, owner of Imageskool along with the two schools; several graffiti art workshops were completed along with local research and a public consultation at Skegness station. The wall was completed in two phases; the first by St. Georges Academy year 12 art students; its progress captured by a photography student and was submitted and awarded 2nd place in the Community Rail Awards in 2019. The second phase was completed by Skegness Grammar school which has resulted in an amazing piece of artwork which is admired and enjoyed by everyone arriving at Skegness station.
